The Two-Steppin' Fool

Before I get started, I would like to warn everyone that I have no idea how long I'm going to rant and rave mainly because I'm just typing and typing to keep my mind off things. =)

Simms has come to visit me for a few days. I'm actually very excited about him being here. He's the only one of my friends who has made the commute out here just to chill and have some fun. Hopefully, providing I do my job as the good host right, he'll get a good taste of Texas and what it's all about. For example, tonight we went to Billy Bob's.

Now any good Texan living in the metroplex area knows about Billy Bob's, the world's largest honk tonk. The anybody of anybodies in country music come to play there quite often. Everything is bigger in Texas and Billy Bob's is no exception. This place is HUGE! To give you an idea of exactly how huge this place is, I'll tell you this - most places have mechanical bulls, Billy Bob's has live bulls. Billy Bob's also has a very big dance floor (see where this is going?).

Yes, boys and girls, I got down on the dance floor! I danced...with a girl...in front of people. Yeah I got laughed at terribly, but I assure that me being laughed at wasn't the first time nor the last time that will ever happen. Needless to say, this was a whole new experience for me. I guess, in short, the "lesson of the moment" is to try new things. Even if you don't like it you at least gave it a shot.

A famous country music star once sang, "Life's a dance you learn as you go. Sometimes you lead and sometimes you follow." He was right on both counts =P

Don't worry, I get laughed at when I dance, too.
